  Brenda L. Lacey, Co-Pastor

Brenda L. Lacey was born in Southern Virginia, where she spent a large part of her childhood.   Brenda is the wife of Rev. Dr. Frank R. Lacey, mother of three children, and grand-mother of five grand-children.  She believes in a close family unit and instilled in her children Godly characteristics, obedience and consistency that would follow them for rest of their lives.  Before becoming a fulltime mother, Brenda worked for many years as a Financial Officer for People's Drug Store Headquarters currently known as CVS Pharmacy.  In December 1990, her husband Dr. Lacey was selected as Pastor of Elk Run Baptist Church, Shelby, Virginia.  Brenda was appointed by the church to be the Chief Financial Officer where she initiated church bylaws and established financial management procedures.  She joined the Welling Blue Ride Baptist Association Women’s Auxiliary Ministry where she became a leader and motivational speaker.  During her tenure with this organization many women were influenced by her godly attributes.

In the Fall of 2002, she accepted her call in the ministry at Touch Heart Christian Center.  She was appointed to oversee the Mission Ministry.  In 2003 she lead the temporary housing ministry that reached out to the community and met the needs of many less fortunate families.  In 2005, she became Co-Pastor of Touch Hearts Christian Center.

Through affiliation with Faith Bible College in Washington, DC and Co-Founder Dr. George R. McBurl she was pivotal in the founding of Virginia Christian University (VCU), located in Dumfries, Virginia.  She was later appointed as Vice President.  There are four words that can clearly define Brenda Lacey’s lifestyle and that is “true obedience to God”.

Co-Pastor Lacey is a woman of God, wife, mother, and the Co-Founder of Touch Hearts Christian Center, Dumfries, Virginia.  Included with these many roles, she is also known as a great mentor and friend of the community.  Her life is a daily living testimony that when the road of life ahead is unknown it is in one’s best interest to let go and let God show you the way.
